Holiday Luncheon: Tweed and Red

Sorry for the weekend long absence, the party weekend took everything out of me.

I am Wearing:

Suit: Laundry by Shelli Segal

Top: Adrienne Vittadini
Clutch: Proenza Schouler
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Bianca
Earrings: White House | Black Market
Bracelets: DIY, Marc Jacobs and New York & Co

I am not going to go too much into detail as I've worn everything other than the top and suit before.

I think Charity Luncheons are different than work lunches in that I don't necessarily dress as conservatively for my charity work as I do for my job.  Typically, I shy away from showing my knees to my co-workers and tend to use tights if I am wearing skirts above my knees.  I bought this tweed suit recently at Neiman Marcus Last Call during their Veteran's Day sale.  It is by Laundry by Shelli Segal and it fit surprisingly well off the rack.  I made zero alterations to the skirt and only had to take the sleeves up a few inches on the jacket.  The top is by Adrienne Vittadini and I didn't like the way it looked with this outfit, but I didn't take another red top so I was stuck.  I did like the drape and the sequins, so I will have to style it differently next time.

The shoes by Christian Louboutin are probably my favorites.  Although, I say that about all my Louboutins and in fact, about all my shoes.  These are the shoes that I am wearing in my About Me photo in the right column and in my icon in my URL space.  I like that the color and fabric combination is uncommon and that I very rarely see them on other bloggers and have NEVER seen them on anyone else in real life.
Here is a photo of me and Mr. Fantastic before we went into the luncheon.  I am so unbelievably short.
Mr. Fantastic is Wearing:
Suit: Calvin Klein (his favorite)
Shirt: Neiman Marcus, The Perfect Shirt
Tie: Nordstrom
Belt: Ralph Lauren
Shoes: Johnston & Murphy
Have a great week! Thanksgiving is almost here!
