Glistening Weather

Yesterday reached into the low 70s and I was actually very warm in my prepping for New York outfit.

Sweater: Gap
Top: Design History
Faux Fur Vest: no label/eBay
Slacks: Banana Republic (Martin Fit)
Shoes: MICHAEL Michael Kors
Cuff: So Good Jewelry
Bracelet: no label/thrifted (sterling silver)
Earrings: old
Necklace: Monet

This started off very well and FUNCTIONAL early in the day when it was a bit chilly, but was downright hot by the time I picked up my little one from school.  These photos were taken after I picked him up and I think you can see me "glistening" a bit.
I bought this vest last year and believe it or not, this is supposed to be an XL.  Now I am certainly not a "petite" blogger by any means, but I also wouldn't necessarily consider myself "plus" sized, either.  I think the lesson to be learned here is to never order items that originate in predominantly Asian countries.  I feel their version of XL and mine are different.  And yes, I used the measurements, but there is no way that this vest is 42 inches across the bust.  I would put it at 34 if I am being generous.  So I rarely wear it, but I pulled it out in the hopes that I'd either miraculously dropped weight to fit into this XL vest, or that it would look okay open.  I wanted to wear it over a cashmere sweater and a long skirt on Friday, but I am rethinking the whole outfit...what to do?
The shoes are slightly too big, but I usually just add a full insole cushion and a heel grip when that happens.  I just haven't gotten around to doing it and these give me blisters.  I guess I better get on it.  Let's not focus on that right now, isn't that a great color!?!?

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Wednesday!
