Wishing for Summer

It's not Easter yet, but since I found these jeans on sale back in August, I really don't care.  Mr. Fantastic asked me if I really don't know it's winter or if it's just wishful thinking.  I'm hoping my wishful thinking will make it a reality, but who knows? Our weather is so unpredictable. I am linking up with the girls of "Look What I Got" at The Tiny Heart and The Penniless Socialite again, so join in if you can!

Chambray: Hester & Oxford via TJMaxx
Earrings: vintage (very old); Scarf: BCBGMaxAzria
This is the scarf I found when my sister and I went shopping after Christmas.  It was marked down to $19.99 and they were having a 50% sale so I got it for $9.99.

Bracelet: vintage (via eBay)
I love this bracelet.  I sometimes go on eBay looking for an item and then end up buying things that come in a lot so that I can get a particular piece.  I've been looking for earrings or a bracelet to go with the necklace my mother in law gave me for my birthday last year (photo of it here) and have found a few that I thought would work and then I didn't like them when they arrived.  Such was the case when I found this bracelet.  I found a pair of earrings, but they were being sold in a lot with other vintage pieces.  I placed a bid of up to $12 for the lot because that was the most I was willing to pay for the earrings, but I won the lot for $8.  The earrings didn't work, but there were multiple pieces that I thought were beautiful including this bracelet.  My sister took the earrings with her as well as a pendant and a few other items, but I kept this bracelet, another gold bracelet and a necklace.
Purse: Sam Edelman Armand Satchel (buy in coral)
Shoes: BCBGMaxAzria (very old)
These shoes are really old and they were another great find at my Neiman Marcus Last Call.  They were marked down to $28.00 and then they had the orange marking on them that reduced them by 35%.  They were $18.20 plus tax when I checked out at the register.  I went back immediately and also bought the black ones seen here.  But that was back in 2010, and looking at these pictures, I can see that I probably need to replace them.

What do you do when you need to replace items that you can't bear to let go?

  9. Thank you, ladies! I have to admit that since I came to the "colored" denim trend late, I am abusing it now. Even if all my colored jeans are a variation of black and white (i.e ivory, grey, etc.)
