Sometimes, I'm a Mom...

Our youngest achieved his Arrow of Light yesterday and moved on from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.  This was the best "Mom" look I could come up with.  I have to be honest, all the other moms were in jeans and sweaters...maybe because it was held at a barbecue restaurant.

In any case, my husband always laughs at me because I definitely don't fit in with the other Boy Scout moms.  He called this get up my "I'm here, but I am not one of you" outfit.  Whatever, I know I'm not.  Some of the moms are very dedicated to their cubs, they even wear the scout shirts themselves.  And no, they are not being ironic. That was my first thought, too!  Now, back to me.

This necklace was given to me for my fifteenth birthday! It had a big pearl drop in the center that got broken at some point, but I've finally grown into it.  I am devastated that next year it will eligible for vintage status and I cling to the fact that today it is still just an old necklace. The ring? From a vending machine.  Sometimes, I think the metal is yellow, sometimes, it looks white.  I give up.

This was my first pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.  I bought them when I was engaged to Mr. Fantastic several years ago so that I could wear them for his wedding gift (boudoir photos) and let me tell you, they were  a hit! I had my photos taken by the fabulous and talented Lynn Michelle and to this day, they are the best photos I've ever had taken. Playboy could take lessons from her.
