Current Obsessions: Weddings, Nina Garcia and Pinterest

My most recent obsessions are (thankfully) all related.  A very close friend of ours recently proposed to his wonderful girlfriend.  As excited as we are that they are starting their fabulous life together, I am freaking out about what I will wear to their sure to be posh wedding!

Fortunately for me, I've been re-reading my copy of Nina Garcia's lookbook ever since my sister came to visit me last month and pulled it out again.  Our friends are having a morning wedding service followed by brunch.  But, since I know that the bride is dreaming of a formal wedding and has reserved a very swanky and beautiful church in the Metroplex, I am dreaming of Mr. Fantastic in a morning coat and bowtie. (I am going to be mortified if I've overestimated how close Mr. F is to the groom!)  If he does wear a tux, or something closely resembling that, I think a beautiful long dress like the one above would be perfectly appropriate for me!

And lastly, Pinterest.  Really?  Because I apparently have way too much time on my hands, or at least it would appear that way by the hours I've logged on Pinterest since discovering it! If any of you want to follow me there, there is a pretty link in the bar on the right hand side of your screen!
Badgley Mischka at ShopStyle

I think these hot pink Badgley Mischka shoes are just the right shade of raspberry to offset the color of the dress.  Speaking of which, I've found some dresses that I think might work, mostly because the color is so happy and sunny.  There is this Tibi yellow dress, this Max Azria green dress, and this Calvin Klein one. Granted, I might have to wait for all of these to go on sale, but I do have to look pretty that day, right?...RIGHT?
