Working Interview

Well after two rounds of interviews, I was called to do something I've never had to do before: The Working Interview.  They've offered me a weekly assignment to see if I am a good fit and I think honestly, also to see if I know what I say I know.  I really hope this will lead to a great opportunity for me and I am heading in with great enthusiasm.

Slacks: Tahari
Belt: Polo by Ralph Lauren
Shoes: Dolce Vita
Purse: Rebecca Minkoff Perforated Morning After Clutch (MAC)

That said, I've been out of the daily routine for a while and curly hair in the dark is what you get when you try to schedule an outfit photo shoot with a 10-year old that just wants to head to school!
For my first day, I choose a classic button down shirt in blue and white stripes with black slacks.  Honestly, that is textbook work wear when you aren't completely sure about the dress code or the culture. It's a bit hard for me to accesorize or dress this up because I really don't want to bust out the designer handbags, shoes or jewelry until I know how that is going to go over.  Not everyone is a fan and it can really detract from the mission at hand, which is: GET A JOB!

I went with a grey Rebecca Minkoff purse that I don't need to carry in my hands and Dolce Vita flats that have a bit of a wink, but aren't too flashy.  I didn't realize until I got to the office and then again when editing that I forgot earrings.  I do try to wear those everyday.
