Start of a new week, friends! We had a terrific family weekend now that Mr. Fantastic returned and I am ready for the new week. Bring it!
I am Wearing:
Top: Express
Slacks: Perfect Suit Pants by The Limited
Shoes: Tommy Hilfiger
Hex Bracelet: DIY via Honestly…WTF? (I need more of these)
Silver Disc Bracelet: Old Navy
This is an easy look to throw together when running short on time. The tailored slacks in basic black are perfect for the office, PTA meetings or drinks with friends. The knit top is comfortable and gives me the feeling of wearing a t-shirt without the look of one. I know the watermelon pink is more spring/summer appropriate, but I figured it's hot enough in Texas that I can still pretend it's summer. At least that is how I justify sleeveless and slingbacks in October!
I am trying to learn to wear multiple bracelets gracefully, but so far, two is my limit. Anytime, I've tried more than two I feel like I am a walking cowbell of sorts. Maybe, I should try non-metal bracelets? I recently found a new DIY for bangles, so I am going to try it and see how it works before I start touting my craftiness with the blogosphere. I usually have trouble with stretch bracelets being too big, but this one fit perfectly from the get go!
I did throw a black cardigan over this sleeveless knit top in the office and the pink was the perfect peek of color. I thought these shoes were a good way to tie this look together better than boring black pumps. The slingbacks are low enough to be comfortable while walking from a distant parking lot or up a flight of stairs when you want to skip the elevator.
Have a great week!

Tell me what you think, but be nice! You catch more flies with sugar than spice!
