A Very Casual Easter

This is what I wore to the park with our family Easter Sunday.  To be honest, I was so busy taking photos of everyone else during our awesome celebration that I didn't get any outfit photos, so I had to recreate it quickly this morning to show you.  That is my dad and brother cropped out.  We have a confetti egg fight every year and as I age I am getting slower, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Top: Kenar; Shorts: The Limited
Sandals: Audrey Brooks

One of my nieces did my hair at the park in a French braid and I obviously could not recreate a side french braid on my own, but I wanted to show you what I looked like.  I also wasn't wearing make-up.  Finally to end the day, we had a water balloon war as you can see from the photo below.
My family doesn't go to church on Easter Sunday.  We have a tradition of waking up super early and heading to a local park to camp out for the day.  I don't remember a time when we didn't get together for Easter with my grandparents and all our cousins.  Now our parents are the grandparents and our kids are the cousins and I am so happy that we make time to spend with each other.  We celebrate that Jesus is risen with our family the way that we celebrate His birth at Christmas and all other holidays.

What family traditions do you have?

Tell me what you think, but be nice! You catch more flies with sugar than spice!
