Road Trip in Photos

We piled up our kids and set off on the open road. What is normally a long and interminable 8 hour drive to my family's hometown turned into an 11 hour odyssey today. This was mostly due to our inability to eat fast food (no fast food for Lent) in addition to it being Good Friday (no meat) and multiple traffic accidents that turned the highways in Texas into parking lots.

I took photos along the way and shared them on instagram, but here they are just for those of you who don't have it or like it! If you have instagram, follow me @scorchingstyle !
Leaving it all behind as we get on the road
Reading material for the passenger/navigator
Lunch with no meat
The State Capitol of Texas in passing
An oil refinery near South Texas

These snack packs let me know I'm getting close
A gorgeous, gorgeous sunset
Finally made it to the hotel
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!
