Royal Roast

Sunday, we attended the roast of a dear friend who is a 10 year cancer survivor.  Neither Mr. Fantastic nor I had ever attended a roast before even though we'd heard about them.  It was funny, emotional and definitely gave us an insight into the life of friend that we've grown to know and love over the last five years.

I love this royal blue dress because it is easy to dress up or down and accessorize.  My sister wore it for a friend's wedding here and I've worn it to both family and charity parties a couple of times before this weekend. I usually don't like strapless dresses because no matter how thin a woman is, we all suffer from chub that seems to be pushed up above the bodice of the dress.  As you can see, I am no exception and it wouldn't help to tell you that this dress isn't even tight across the chest!

Our event included a life sized gnome who came to give the honoree a hard time!
