A Red Palette

We had a very busy weekend and it was a very timely reminder that not only are the kids going back to school today, but the social charity circuit has gotten underway.  We had two charity cocktail events this weekend and someone joked that we know the season is upon us and we expect to see each other every weekend from now until Christmas!

Dress: Robbi & Nikki

Headband: BCBGMaxAzria; Earrings: old/no label
Cuff: Cara Couture; Bracelet: Givenchy
Bag: Jimmy Choo (old sunglasses case)

Shoes: Manolo Blahnik
This weekend we attended a fundraiser for a local childrens charity, Love for Kids, at the Frontiers of Flight museum. The event was called Palette to Palate and it was a great mix of art, music and food.  There were over 15 local food vendors and there wasn't a single bad dish in the room.  They had a small issue with seating (I think the turnout was greater than expected and that is never a bad thing) so I balanced my bag, drink and plate to eat dinner.  Thus, there are no photos of the food.  Below are a couple of the space and artwork for sale during the event.

The weather in Texas is always a terrible indicator of the changing of the seasons.  It is just always hot, so I use the return to school and the kick-off of the charity season as the indicator that summer is coming to a close.

What are your indicators of the changing seasons?
