October Pumpkin

I know that as a blogger I should LOVE the Pumpkin Spiced Latte at Starbucks. After all, the magical pumpkin spice latte is almost a mandatory obsession in the blogosphere.  I just can't muster the enthusiasm.  I will tell you that I am happy the Salted Caramel Mocha is back and I've had 3 since September.  That enthusiasm will be reserved for the White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha that signals Christmas is around the corner.  Instead, for October, I've decided that I am going to try to come up with cute black, white and orange outfits (that I can wear in public) in honor of my kid's favorite holiday.
Top: Halogen
Skirt: Trina Turk for Banana Republic
Earrings: No Label (thrifted)
Necklace: old gift from my dad
Cuff: Kendra Scott Celeste
Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff Amour (gift from Mr. Fantastic)
Sandals: Cole Haan (old)
I wore this outfit to brunch with my sister in law earlier this week.  Technically, we were working on the invitations for our brother's upcoming engagement party.  In reality, we just used it as an excuse to catch up, look for a ballgown for next month's fundraiser, and spend hours lost in hilarious conversation.

How are you celebrating the changing seasons?

  1. That skirt is great! That bright tangerine is so classic. I also appreciate and empathize with your blog title name. Girl, Texas weather kills me. I wear scarves year round and sweat in the afternoon in the middle of December...

Tell me what you think, but be nice! You catch more flies with sugar than spice!
