Last Minute LBD

One of our favorite charities hosts an annual Little Black Dress party.  Since we had a busy weekend with a happy hour Friday and then our "Fun Run," we weren't sure if we were going to be in shape to go this year, but we went ahead and bought tickets because it was for a good cause.  After we came home and took a nap, we woke up and decided to go ahead and head out to the party and to see our friends.  I went to my closet and pulled out my trusty LBD, previously worn here and here.
Dress: MICHAEL Michael Kors (old) (current on sale)
Earrings: Nadri (sold out) (similar); Necklace: Eisenberg (vintage)
I've previously written about Facebook "Yard Sales" and my cool finds from there and this Eisenberg vintage necklace is another piece I bought on Facebook for a steal.  Initially, I didn't know that it was an Eisenberg piece, the seller just posted the photos of it and said that she didn't know the brand, but she knew it was costume and her mom had it for years before it passed to her 15-20 years ago. Considering the age, I was impressed that all the stones were still in tact and there didn't appear to be any tarnishing, so I met up with the seller and gave her $20 before getting the necklace home.  I was thrilled to discover that this is a well known Eisenberg piece in limited production from the late 50's. This was my first chance to wear it, but it won't be my last!
Bangle: Nadri; Minauderie: DIY (via this old tutorial)
Shoes: Brian Atwood (old) (bargain option) (spendy option)
Blurry photo from event. Mr. Fantastic is wearing his favorite Calvin Klein suit and a Neiman Marcus perfect shirt.
We ended up having a great time even though I was outbid for a wine basket I wanted and we arrived well after the food was gone.  The main purpose was to raise money for children in the metroplex and that goal was achieved. :)
