Summer Break

I didn't mean to take a summer break this year.  I've noticed over the years that my summers tend to be overwhelming due to the boys being home all the time and our family vacations as well as my husband's work.  This summer was no different.  I had some problems at the end of the Spring and my family had to scramble to keep me organized. My husband had a change at work and that resulted in a great deal more travel for him, and fortunately, me! Finally, the boys had a busier than usual summer and as their official driver, that bit into my time, too. Since I wrote last: we had our charity golf tournament; our oldest took his SATs; our youngest had golf camp; we saw our friends at the horse races; my husband and I traveled to Frankfurt, Cologne (where we left our own Love Lock at the Hohenzollern Bridge over the Rhine River!), Dresden, Prague, and New York City; we took our family vacation to one of my favorite spots, Taos, New Mexico; and then all traveled to South Texas for my mom's birthday.  Somewhere in between all that my husband also took solo trips to California, Brazil, and the East Coast while I stayed home and took the boys to the zoo, the golf course, and many movies!

It's hard for me to post when I feel overwhelmed or uninspired and I know that if I forced myself, it would come across in this space.  When that happens, I take a break whether I planned it or not. It is one of the greatest freedoms I have as a blogger and I am reminded once again of why I refuse advertising and paid posts. I can't imagine the guilt and frustration I would feel if I HAD to blog even when I don't feel like it.  Thank you so much for continuing to read my space even when my posting becomes sporadic. I expect to be back to regular posting this month. :)
