Out With The Old, In With the New Olive & Cream

These are my new Paige jeans in Olive.  I'd seen a few bloggers wearing them and of course I wanted a pair.  I first saw them in the fall, but all the ones I liked cost over $150! If we had unlimited funds, it wouldn't matter, but we don't, so it does. I thought about buying them when my in-laws gave me my birthday gift card and they were "on sale" for $99, but I didn't want to blow half of my gift card on one item.  I was thrilled when I saw them at Nordstrom Rack last month for $49 so I headed right over and bought them!  They are also a full size smaller than I normally wear in jeans.  I probably need a few more sessions  of Pilates so they don't look so tight, but I was happy to have another article to motivate me back.  This is the longest I've ever stuck to an exercise routine and I know it sounds cliche, but I really do feel better!
Sweater: Gap (very old); Jeans: Paige Premium Denim
Necklace: Gift from my dad (more than 15 years ago!)
Bangles: Kendra Scott Lila (buy in rhodium) and J.Crew
Purse: Sam Edelman Armand Satchel (buy in coral)
Flats: BCBGMaxAzria (old)
In other news, I am in the midst of Spring Cleaning and you will never see this beloved cream sweater of mine again.  I've had this sweater for years and it is a staple for every season except summer. While I am sad to see it go, it has a couple of coffee stains on one sleeve that I can't remove except through photoshop and the pilling has reached a point that is no longer workable - there are holes now. :(  So I will add a great cream sweater to my list of items to replace this year.  I've also been on the lookout for months to replace this pair of leopard flats, but all the shoes I've been drawn to have not been in my size and the ones in my size I haven't liked.

What items are you cleaning out this season?

  1. aren't you glad you held out and waited to buy the jeans?! i'm starting to like colored denim more than basic blue...it's a trend that's here to stay in my opinion. if i see some leopard flats i'll let you know. i bought my last pair from Rack Room Shoes in late summer.

    1. Yes! I am definitely glad that I waited! I'm not too hopeful about the leopard flats, apparently, I don't like anything! :)

  2. Nordstrom rack is heaven---too bad there's not one close to where I live. Is that where you got your bag as well?

    1. Hi Brittney! Yes, I got the bag at Nordstrom Rack as well, but I bought it last year also when it was on sale!

  3. Yay for a great deal! I'm trying to wait for markdowns stacked with promos nowadays, but sometimes it's hard when retailers don't mark an item down. Argh.

  6. I'm glad you finally got your jeans, and for such a great price! Damn, I really wish we had a nordstrom rack in Madison (or in the entire state of Wisconsin!). and getting a replacement sweater for something you seem to wear a ton is a smart decision. can't wait to see what you get!
