Blogger Nightmare: Blurry Pics, Bad Hair & Muffin Top

Normally I would not even post these photos because of the blurry pictures, bad hair, and awful muffin top mentioned in the headline.  However, since I am working on the Take One, Pass It On challenge, I need this outfit from yesterday to bridge to my next one. :(
Sweater: Clockhouse Elements; Top: Max Studio; Denim: Joe’s Jeans
Necklace: Vintage from Wine Club Swag Bag
Bracelets: Blue Nile & c/o Ariel Gordon Jewelry
Purse: Rebecca Minkoff MAC
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik Pruneta
We finally had an evening to ourselves before another one of my husband's long business trips, so I pulled out a sweater and jeans for a night at our new favorite Thai restaurant. The fact that it's BYOB definitely helps.  I loved the way this shirt looked yesterday but looking at these photos make me realize that it only looks great when worn with a looser fitting bottom and/or when clean and crisp.  I will definitely not wear it the day after again! And I already scheduled my next Pilates class.
In other news, I was happy that I finally moved a piece of clothing forward. I was joking with Kimmie yesterday that I felt like I was cheating by only moving accessories like my scarf or bracelet from one day to the next. So this is true progress in my book.

What pictures do you filter out? Bad Hair? Blurry Photos? Muffin Top? Others?

  1. Ugh, this exact thing happened to me last week. The pictures were terrible, the outfit was terrible, my hair looked terrible...but the challenge! How can we give up on our challenge! ;)

I also feel like I'm cheating if I just use accessories but hi, we can't just keep re-wearing shirts, people will totally catch on!

    1. Yes! My mother-in-law made a comment to me about teenagers who think others can't tell they are wearing the same jeans over and over again! I'm pretty sure, she can tell when I wear the same thing...

  2. Oh I totally hate posting pictures with bad lighting, or are blurry, or the outfit just sucks. But with the TOPIO I'm kind of forced to post them so they can bridge outfits ;)

You look so lovely in red!

And lol to fran's comment, with the TOPIO I got totally paranoid about wearing the same things two days in a row, but I highly doubt anyone other than me notices, unless it's like some bright neon yellow sweater or something.

    1. I would love to wear a neon yellow sweater and I bet no one WOULD notice! Besides, isn't that what everybody does when they run out of clean clothes? Wear the same thing 5 days in a row? No?

  3. i decided when i started my style blog journey that i wasn't gonna sweat over less than perfect photos. unless you're a pro photographer (and it can still happen to them) - it's bound to happen. the red top is pretty! let me go check out the other post on TOPIO so i can get up to speed on the challenge.

  4. I try to take enough pictures of each outfit that I will end up with at least 1-3 decent options to post. There have been a few daily outfits that have not made the blog, because the pictures were terrible, or I realized the outfit was not flattering (after wearing it all day, of course).

I feel like a cheater for doing my modified version of the challenge, but I didn't think I could get away with wearing the same shirt, dress, or pants 2 days in a row!

  5. Thank you! @Donna, I think you would rock this challenge and @Andi, I love your modified version! I might have gone with yours if I hadn't already started. :/ Now I will know for next time!
