Flipped Wine

I've been absent for the last week so I will give you an update: Mr. Fantastic was out of town, sleep was awful, then it rained. Mr. Fantastic came back home, it was still raining, we slept all weekend.  Now I'm back.  I did see my Wine Club last week.  I am a little surprised that I didn't even TRY to hide my muffin top...and I think I mulled it over for a couple of days before posting.  I guess it's time to start walking around my block again.
Top: Banana Republic (old)
Flip-Flops: Old Navy (from $1 sale)
Necklace: gift from my dad (old)
Earrings: Social Glo
Cocktail Ring: c/o Kendra Scott & Dallas Tidbits
I wasn't sure I was going to like the purple and gold touches with the grey bag and sandals, but I think it was a good way to polish the very casual vibe I had going on.  This Kate Spade cork bangle was my nod to our Wine Club. And how gorgeous is the Kendra Scott cocktail ring? I love it!

Our Wine Club usually wears socks because some people live in condos with hardwood floors and the downstairs neighbors complain about our heels.  Last year, we decided everyone needed to just bring a pair of socks to wine club to avoid damaging the floors and annoying the neighbors.  This month one of our girls is fostering a gorgeous brown Labrador, so socks were out of the question.  We were all asked to bring flip flops instead, but you don't need a close up of my Old Navy $1 flips, right?

How do you dress up your casual looks?

  3. Funny your 1 dollar flip flops look just like my 20 dollar havaianas... yes, havaianas cost almost $20 a pair here in Buenos Aires

  4. Thank you! I think it's been so long, that our club is used to the complaints and we don't even think about it anymore. I CANNOT believe Havaianas cost $20! Crazy!
