Formal Morning Wedding

I'd been looking forward to this wedding for MONTHS! I know it wasn't, but it really felt like one of my own brothers was getting married.  Our families are both so happy that the Amazing Spider-Chuck found the love of a lifetime in his beautiful bride and I cried like a baby during the ceremony.

I was really excited about wearing this dress as well.  The inspiration for this dress was the above photo from Nina Garcia's Lookbook. I found this dress at BCBGMaxAzria in New York in February and I was thrilled to find that it was the last one at the store and it was a large.  Of course, that would only happen in Manhattan were everyone is a 00 or XXS! Yay, me!
Dress: BCBGMaxAzria (partial c/o Giftcard)
Necklace: Old gift from my dad
 Clutch: Cole Haan Penny
Wrap: Terner Bijoux (yup, $10)
Shoes: Badgley Mischka Kiwi
Believe it or not, my amazing tailor, Unique Tailor in Dallas, practically reconstructed this entire dress! BCBGMaxAzria apparently only designs gowns for women who are 5"9 and taller and while I loved the dress, my tailor had to cut off over 8 inches in some areas!  I loved the final result and I mentioned I've been under the weather for the past few weeks.  I had the dress tailored the week before the wedding and still managed to drop weight and it ended up being too lowcut for church.  Luckily, I had a pink wrap that matched my accessories perfectly from a cruise a long time ago.
I didn't get permission to post photos of the newlyweds, so I won't post their faces, but I love this photo I snuck while they were getting their professional photos taken.  The brides dress was so beautiful and the corset back was spectacular with the shimmering veil. I truly wish I could convey the beauty of the ceremony. The bride is a trained opera singer and they had an amazing HANDBELL choir!
Cufflinks: Gift from Groom (buy similar here)
The groom is a big fan of Spiderman, hence his nickname, Spider-Chuck, and he gave all his groomsmen these fun cufflinks to wear to the wedding! It was such a great personal touch.
Mr. Fantastic’s Formalwear: Joseph & Feiss (rented via Men's Wearhouse)
Doesn't Mr. Fantastic look yummy?  I am still so excited that they wore morning suits because, just look at him!  I try not to post pictures of him all over this blog, but I really couldn't help myself.  He makes me look so good.  I LURVE HIM!

The girls on the Alterations Needed Forum need some advice on what to wear to summer weddings.  Do you guys have any ideas?

    2. Yes, I love India! We went there and the Maldives for our belated honeymoon and I wish I could go back. My hubby might be going for business in a few months, but I have to stay with the kids. :( Maybe I will do a post about Chennai and the Tamil Nadu region soon. We visited the 5 Rathas and the Bay of Bengal as well as the Mylapore Temple which was one of my favorites. It was hot, but worth it.
