Calle Ocho

I wore this outfit on our last day in Miami when we did our tour of Vizcaya Palace and walked around Calle Ocho.  I was only in Miami for a long weekend, but it took me a week of posts, so I think we are all ready to move on, huh?

Top: H&M; Jeans: Joe’s Jeans
Scarf: Target; Tote: Calvin Klein

Necklaces: eBay & Priviledged

Shoes: L.K. Bennett (partial c/o GC)
I loved walking on 8th. Following the Latin Walk of Fame, watching the domino club players and people watching all around made me happy and I felt like it was way more real than the pool party at the Fontainebleau or the overpriced happy hours on Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road.

This was my absolute FAVORITE meal of the trip and you will be surprised to know that it cost less than $10!  We ate at a little shop named Exquisito Restaurant right on 8th and the owners were very helpful and attentive.  My hubs had a cuban style ale called Cerveza Hatuey and a cuban ham sandwich, and I had soup, chicken and rice with plantains.  It was delicious!

I am a little sad about the trip being over, but I really hope to be back soon! I loved Miami!  I will leave you with just one more photo!

  2. I love the mint color in your outfit! Looks gorgeous with the white pants! Definitely "summer staples" I say! It looks like you had a great time in beautiful Miami! :)

  4. Thank you, girls! I really thought the top was turquoise when I bought it, but my husband kept referring to it as green. I finally admitted it was green and was more than a bit dismayed that I fell into the very trendy color scheme. Oh well, I really like the shape and feel of this top. Very comfy!

Tell me what you think, but be nice! You catch more flies with sugar than spice!
