Gaultier After Dark

The Dallas Museum of Art hosted a Gaultier After Dark for members last night and it was so nice to have the exhibit all to ourselves and be able to see it so intimately.  I really behaved myself and didn't even take one covert photo.  Mr. Fantastic let me talk him into taking me and making it a date night and I have to tell you that it was so much fun!
Dress: No Label/eBay
Faux Fur Vest: No Label/eBay
Sweater: Vince
Hair by: Alaska at Ultra Glam Salon in Dallas
Necklace: Iggy Feather Necklace by Kendra Scott
We started with a yummy steak dinner at Al Biernat's in Dallas and then headed over to the museum for the Gaultier event.  I don't know if you will remember, but my inspiration for my "festive" outfit was in this post.  I went a little darker and pulled my hair up into a high ponytail, but I had several compliments and multiple requests to know where my necklace came from (it's Kendra Scott.)  It was so great!
Clutch: Kate Landry
Bracelets: no label & Givenchy
Ring: Nordstrom Rack
I've worn the bracelets before and finally got to wear this ring I got at Nordstrom Rack a while back.  The Kate Landry clutch was an internet steal and I love that it doesn't have a ton of rhinestones which most blue satin clutches had.
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik Hangisi
The shoes were a wedding gift from my husband almost three years ago.  I'd seen them on the Sex and the City movie before we were even engaged and I'd told him that I wanted them for my wedding.  One day, I might share the odyssey that he went through to find these in the correct heel height in the right size before our wedding.  I try to wear them out from time to time because he measures cost per wear when determining if a shoe is worth it's cost.  I love the way they look with the colors in this dress.
Once we had walked around the exhibit and I had pointed out all the dresses that I wanted in my closet, we headed to the Atrium for a nightcap.  While were there, the man on the right caught my attention.  How chic is his leather kilt?!? I asked if I could take his photograph and both he and his partner were so gracious and indulged as I took multiple photos while trying to figure out my wide angle lens. There were many well dressed people at the event, but they were my favorite.
My husband is not normally my photographer, in fact, he would much rather NOT ever be my photographer and considers it a huge chore to have to take more than one photo of me, ever.  Last night, he was so amazing about taking a ridiculous number of photos as we figured out how to get the right settings so that you could see the colors without me being blurry. How incredible is this photo!?! It's my favorite!  Have a fabulous weekend!
