Touring the City of New Orleans

Mr. Fantastic took me away to New Orleans last week for a few days.  New Orleans is one of our favorite cities and this is what I wore our first day there.  The weather was very cool and there was a great deal of walking involved.

Blue Nile lets you make a wish list or email things you like to people who might be shopping for you and I had sent the link to the earrings I posted about last month to my gorgeous husband.  He went ahead and bought me the sterling silver hoops I wanted for my birthday.The scarf was a souvenir that Mr. Fantastic brought me back last month from his trip to China.  My sister wore it a couple of weeks ago when we went to see the Gaultier exhibit.  I love the colors on it.

My Christmas gift from Mr. Fantastic this year was a new lens for my camera.  He bought me a Tokina 11-16mm lens (it's a wide angle one) and we took it to NOLA to experiment with it.  It is my new favorite especially since we are able to get fabulous self portraits now!  How about this photo? I am standing on the street car tracks in the middle of Canal Street.
