Bad Hair Days

Today was very windy, yet managed to feel wonderful.  I wish my hair had gotten onboard, but sadly it didn't.  I tried braiding it, and it still didn't work, so I added a hat.

I wore the bright watermelon top to break up the sadness of the black and grey outfit I was originally going with.  I recently discovered that my idol, Nina Garcia, doesn't like cowl necks.  I am a tad heartbroken, but I can't help it if I love them.  I think they give you an interesting neckline and always manage to drape just right.  One more reason that I am just a blogger and not a stylist or a style editor.

This skirt is a score from a previous Gilt Groupe sale.  I love their denim sales because that is the only way that I can ever get designer jeans without paying the designer price.  This skirt and my Vince jeans are from the Gilt denim sales.  Both of my Joe's Jeans are from the HauteLook denim blowout and my recent corduroys by James Jeans are from the Ideeli red sale.  I completely missed out on the J Brand sale they had a couple of weeks ago and nearly kicked myself because the coated denim jeans were on sale for $69, but by the time I logged on they only had size 22 and 23 left! Seriously, who is that small other than my left thigh!?!?  In any case, I have a small, but alarming shoe problem so I don't have the liberty to wander around buying jeans that cost $150 or even $100.  That is why you often see me in Levi's or Old Navy jeans.

As for the leg warmers?  Well, I was already wearing them all morning and I really didn't want to take them off.  I know, I am such an embarrassing style blogger.  Can I promise to start making an effort next week?  It looks like I will have more time then.
