Working Wednesday

Layering button-downs and sweaters is another style combination that I've been hesitant to try because I couldn't figure out how to do it.  It finally dawned on me that it only works if you wear a fitted button down instead of a baggier one.

I am wearing:

Sweater: American Eagle Outfitters

Blouse: H&M

Slacks: The Limited

Shoes: Dolce & Gabbana

Earrings: Old

Bracelets: Marc Jacobs and Cruise Purchase

Necklace: Unknown (I won it at a Silent Auction for $6)

I wanted to use a girly color like pink to contrast the boyish look of this outfit.  I have mixed feelings about this look, but mostly, I like it.  As I mentioned before, I have about 3-5 pants that I wear on a regular basis and I was dismayed to find that I am wearing these goofy pants again! I probably DO need to retire them at this point.

I tried to keep my jewelry simple with the necklace above and the same earrings, Marc Jacobs and cruise ship bracelets that I've worn repeatedly before.  I didn't get a good photo of the shoes this time, but they are the same ones I am wearing in this post (with the same pants! *sigh*). Eventually, I really will get the hang of this.  And if nothing else, blogging is making me at least try to think of my outfits in advance and not just as I pace my closet. Although, that still happens, too.
